7/28/2021 Adrift. A Panel Discussion on the Philips Recall
On June 14, 2021, Philips Respironics recalled nearly 4 million of its CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilation devices. The manufacturer estimates it could take a year to replace or repair the affected equipment, and the pandemic-strained global supply chain cannot do much to expedite the process. Limited guidance since the announcement leaves suppliers, clinicians, and patients to plot their own course between now and then.
